The Rockwood K1050 Door Kick Plate is a standard-duty, commercial-grade protection plate that helps extend door life in high-traffic environments. Constructed from .050″ thick stainless steel with a US32D satin finish, it features beveled edges on all sides, which not only enhance appearance but also improve safety.
Additionally, the K1050 meets ANSI A156.16 standards, ensuring dependable performance in commercial applications. Each plate includes a mounting screw pack, allowing for quick and straightforward installation. Moreover, the versatile design supports use as a kick plate or as a stretcher and mop plate. Install the plate by surface-mounting it with the included fasteners. For best results, follow ANSI A156.16 and NFPA 80 guidelines during installation.
According to NFPA 80 (Sections 2–4.5: Protection Plates), factory-installed protection plates must comply with the door’s listing. Likewise, field-installed plates must be labeled and installed according to their listing.
However, labeling is not required when the top of the protection plate is no more than 16″ above the bottom of the door.
