Description

Emtek Mormont Stainless Steel Mortise

The Emtek Mormont Stainless Steel Mortise offers a clean, modern trim style that combines minimalist aesthetics with the strength and precision of a high-security mortise lock. Inspired by the Davos Entry Set and Modern Keyed Sideplates, the Mormont Collection captures contemporary design while providing the superior durability of Emtek’s heavy-duty mortise construction. Made from highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel, this set is ideal for both residential and commercial applications.

Functions
  • F13 Mortise Function (Keyed Entry) – Standard keyed entry function. The exterior key operates both bolts, while the interior lever retracts the latch and deadbolt simultaneously for quick, safe exit.
  • F20 Mortise Function (Entry w/ Override) – Always locked from the outside, with a stop and release button that provides temporary override. The inside lever retracts both bolts at once, balancing convenience and security.
  • Dummy Function (Non-Active) – Non-operational trim with no latch or locking mechanism. Ideal for the inactive leaf of double or French doors and pairs with the active Mormont Mortise Entry Set.
Complete Set & Installation

The complete Emtek Mormont Stainless Steel Mortise Set includes the latch and strike plate. It accommodates 2-1/2″ or 2-3/4″ backsets and requires standard mortise door prep ANSI A115.1. The lock features a reliable Schlage C keyway for compatibility and dependable performance. You can pair it with any stainless steel knob or lever for the interior trim.

Installation Notes:
  • Handing required for all mortise locks (Left-Hand or Right-Hand)
  • Standard door thickness: 1-3/4″ (specify if thicker)
  • Locks for in-swing doors are standard; specify out-swing if needed
Security & Requirements

Emtek’s heavy-duty mortise lock boxes are UL Listed and rated for 180-minute fire protection, ensuring long-lasting safety and performance. Each lock includes:

  • Deadlocking latch bolt
  • Forged deadbolts with anti-saw inserts
  • Anti-pick security latches
  • Anti-friction triggers
  • Stop and release buttons (for F20 function)
Finish: Stainless Steel

The Stainless Steel finish provides a sleek, corrosion-resistant surface suitable for exterior or coastal environments. This versatile finish is available across Emtek’s product range, allowing for a consistent, modern look throughout your project.
