Description

Emtek Craftsman Mortise

The Emtek Craftsman Mortise captures the authentic charm of the Arts & Crafts movement while delivering strong and reliable performance. Inspired by the handcrafted metalwork of early 20th-century design, this mortise set brings a touch of classic artistry to modern doors. Built from solid brass, it offers both timeless style and everyday durability.

Its hammered texture and square detailing create a refined, architectural look that pairs beautifully with craftsman and traditional homes. Moreover, Emtek’s precision mortise mechanism ensures a smooth, secure, and lasting operation every time the door is used.

Functions
  • F13 Mortise (Standard Keyed): Works as a traditional keyed entry lock. The exterior key controls both bolts, while the interior lever retracts the latch and deadbolt together for convenience. It includes a UL 180-minute fire rating, a forged deadbolt with anti-saw inserts, an anti-friction trigger, and a deadlocking latch bolt for extra protection.
  • F20 Mortise (Always Locked): Stays locked from the outside for maximum security. However, it has a temporary override button and stop/release controls on the latch plate for quick access when needed. The interior lever still retracts both latch and deadbolt to allow an easy exit.
  • Mortise Dummy: A decorative, non-operational setup used on double or French doors. It matches the active side for visual balance and requires a bore hole to complete the set.
