HANDING OF DOOR IS ALWAYS DETERMINED FROM THE OUTSIDE HINGES: E.g. if from the OUTSIDE, hinges are on the left = it is a Left Hand door. If from the OUTSIDE, hinges are on the right = it is a Right Hand door • The outside of an exterior door is the street or entrance side. • The outside of a room door is the hall side.
Choose Standard for the included latch or Interior Mortise Upgrade for enhanced security and performance on compatible doors.

The Emtek Colonial Thumbturn Privacy Non-Keyed Sideplate blends classic Colonial styling with reliable interior door functionality. Designed for bedrooms, bathrooms, or any privacy-needed space, it can be paired with any Brass knob or lever style to match your décor.

  • 3/8″ thick sideplates for a solid, modern look
  • 3 3/8″ Center-to-Center plate configuration
  • Overall length: 7 1/8″
  • Handing required for all leversets
  • Fits standard 2 1/8” door prep
  • Comes with a standard 2 3/8” backset latch (2 3/4” backset available upon request)
  • Thumbturn privacy bolt works with any Brass passage set
  • Supplied with standard rotation latch (Optional 28° rotation latch available)
  • Privacy bolt comes with a square-corner latch faceplate only
  • Optional Interior Mortise upgrade for enhanced performance
Installation Notes
  • Designed for standard interior door preparation (2 1/8″), making installation straightforward for most modern doors.
  • Ensure you select the correct handing for lever styles before installation.
  • Confirm your required backset measurement (2 3/8″ or 2 3/4″) to ensure proper fit.
  • The privacy bolt installs easily with the included square-corner latch faceplate.
  • If upgrading to the 28° rotation latch, verify compatibility with your door’s existing hardware placement.
