The Accentra 8847FL Apartment Entry Mortise Lock is a strong and reliable solution for apartment corridor doors. It belongs to the ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA® 8800 Series and is designed for long-term use in busy residential and commercial settings.
This apartment entry function allows the latchbolt to retract by the knob or lever from either side. However, when the outside trim is locked by the stopwork activator, access changes. The deadbolt operates by key from the outside and by thumbturn on the inside. When the deadbolt extends, the outside knob or lever locks automatically, improving security.
At the same time, the lock provides anti-panic operation for safe exit. Turning the inside knob or lever retracts both the latchbolt and deadbolt, while the outside trim stays locked. In addition, a deadlocking latchbolt helps protect against forced entry.
For easier installation, the lock offers field-reversible handing and standard door preparation. It also includes a reinforced stainless steel deadbolt, a 2160 cam, and a 2815 strike. As a result, this mortise lock delivers dependable performance and meets ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 requirements.
